Once upon a time, on opposite ends of the globe, two adventurous souls were packing their bags. David, in Scotland, was gearing up for a new life in Toronto, Canada, just as Sarah, in Toronto, was ready to jet off for a new chapter abroad. Their paths could not have been further from ever crossing.

But fate had other plans.

On the day Sarah was all set to leave, a sudden international travel ban turned her plans upside down. Stuck in Canada for the foreseeable future, she turned to a magical app where she stumbled upon a dashing man in a kilt—none other than David. She swiped right.

Months later, Sarah found herself moving into a new apartment in Toronto, and wouldn't you know it, David was practically her next-door neighbour. You might be thinking, "Sarah must be a bit of a stalker" but in reality, it was another unexpected twist of fate that kept bringing them together, just as the lockdowns began.

Despite global chaos, their story grew. From walks wearing face masks and Bob Ross painting dates in the living room to their first ever date in a restaurant 1-year later, they couldn't imagine life without each other.

When travel restrictions finally lifted, David whisked Sarah off to see Scotland. On top of a misty mountain, with sheep (and a bit of sheep poop) as witnesses, he popped the question. Sarah realized that the adventure and joy she was seeking were not in distant places, but right beside her in David. She hadn’t needed to travel far to find it; she had found it in him. By the way, she said yes!
